Family Conflict
Even the best of marriages can run into times of trouble in which communication is difficult or decisions seem out of reach.
- Ongoing disagreements can put strain on a marriage.
- Times of sudden crisis can disrupt even solid marriages.
- Children’s situations can cause disagreements on parenting issues.
A family does not need to be considering divorce to benefit from the principles of Christian mediation.
Christian mediation allows families in crisis and families under stress to resolve their issues in a safe, loving, and supportive atmosphere. Avenues of communication that somehow have become closed can be reopened. Families can work together to address their issues in a controlled atmosphere, assisted by an experienced third party.
Where appropriate, an agreement can even be put in writing, not necessarily to “bind” the parties to a “contract,” but to help guide them in their future decision making. Even children who are mature enough can participate in the process to help resolve many common parent-child conflicts.
CRM Family Mediation outside the context of divorce allows families to address issues in a way that encourages better communication and promotes healing and reunification of the entire family.
